Better late than never, I guess...I just saw a post on Diana Gabaldon's website (from back in February!) that there is a new addition to the Outlander series in the works...OK, I haven't bought a comic book...um, graphic novel...since I was about eight, but this one might be worth a peek...
The Yarn Harlot was here a couple of weeks ago...Pretty damn amazing, if you ask me, though it was obvious she was pretty tired and maybe even a teeny bit snippy (it's not 200 miles!)...It was still really great to see her though, and of course I bought the book...
It didn't even seem like 4 hours of waiting...(OMGS I think we are Yarn Groupies! At least noone threw their undies at her...Just socks...Lots and lots of socks...)

We all 'decorated' in anticipation of her arrival...

The Chair! The Chair! The Holy Harlot Chair!!!

And of course we got our pictures taken with The Sock...

Then she talked...

And she stayed to sign everybody's books...Poor tired thing! She signed...

And signed...

And signed...
Until it was our turn!!!

Sherri is now famous...I hope she won't forget all her old friends...
Sleepycat brought her chocolate beer...

Everyone got their pictures taken with her, except me, because I am having a Bad Hair Year...

And I got a cookie!

Then it was back to the same ol', same ol' after all the Harlot Excitement...
While I was switching over the Blog, I got a mention by one of my very favorite Bloggers, Arjewtino...Of course, I didn't link myself, since everything was 'in disarray' (to put it mildly)...Damn you, Murphy and your stupid Law!
Speaking of which...I will be putting up some pics of my Very Fabulous Trip to Buenos Aires very soon...Yes, very soon...It's only been a month and a half, and I have not procrastinated nearly enough yet...*smirk*
Oh, and would someone mind mentioning to Hilary that it might be time to go home? Because now she is just making me mad...
In Sock News, I finished a pair of 2 needle socks that are very cute, but due to a few gauge issues (*ahem*) tend to slip off after being worn for 10 minutes...*sigh*
But look! Here are some Real Socks! Just footie-sized, but Real Socks nonetheless!!

No gauge issues so far! And they are cute! I even learned to pick up stitches on the heel the right way, not my way...*snerk* I will be casting on the next one as soon as I figure out if I can Kitchener the toe (the pattern says just gather it, but I want a Real Sock Toe, not some nooby gathered toe!) No Second Sock Syndrome for me! No sir! (See procrastination issue mentioned above, and pray for me...)
